DettyLink terms of use

1. Who we are

DettyLink is provided by BreiReik Ltd (company number 16455987), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over. You must be a verified IJGB (a Nigerian living abroad) or a verified local in Lagos to match with others. You may have only one account.

3. What DettyLink is

DettyLink is an introductions and event-companion app. It helps verified members meet for Detty December events in Lagos. It is not a dating service that guarantees matches, and it does not sell tickets or give access to events. Event listings are for information only.

4. Verification and accounts

Your profile is hidden, and you cannot like or chat, until you pass our identity check. Verification is carried out by Smile ID. Accounts not verified within 30 days are deleted.

5. Verified badge

The verified badge is a paid one-off purchase that lasts 12 months. It does not renew automatically. We will remind you before it expires. Prices are shown in the app and in the app store, and may vary by country.

Founding members: the first 500 verified locals receive the Standard badge free for 12 months.

6. Safety and your conduct

• Meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you are going, and follow your own judgement.
• Do not share another member's private information, including their trip dates or location.
• Do not harass, threaten, scam or impersonate anyone, and do not send unwanted or explicit content.
• We may remove content, restrict or close accounts, and cooperate with the police where the law requires it.

BreiReik Ltd does not vet members beyond the identity check, and we are not responsible for what members do when they meet. Please report concerns in the app.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account in the app. We can suspend or end your account if you break these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
