Who we are

DettyLink is published by BreiReik Ltd (company number 16455987), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. BreiReik Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: contact@breireik.com.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and how you sign in (Google, Apple or an email link).
• Age: your date of birth, used only to check you are 18 or over.
• Profile: your name, photos, languages, interests, event style and your city (Lagos for locals; for IJGBs, an optional city abroad or "Diaspora").
• Trip window (IJGBs only): your arrival date, departure date and host city. These are private to you and are never shown to other members. Other members see only "Visiting this season".
• Verification: the result of your identity check run by our verification provider, Smile ID. Your ID document and selfie are processed and held by Smile ID. We do not store ID images or selfies, and we do not collect your BVN.
• Purchases: the status of your verified badge, as reported by Apple or Google. We do not receive your card or payment details.
• Activity: likes, matches, messages, blocks and reports.
• Device: push notification tokens, if you allow notifications.

What we do with it

• To run your account and show you suitable matches, within the rules above.
• To check you are 18 or over and to verify your identity.
• To confirm your verified badge and manage its 12-month term.
• To keep members safe: we remove photo location data, and we review accounts that look like they are being misused.
• To meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Smile ID: for identity checks.
• Google Firebase: for hosting, sign-in, database, file storage and notifications. Data is stored in the EU.
• Apple and Google: to process in-app purchases.

We do not sell your personal data. Other members see only the profile information you choose to share, and never your trip dates.

How long we keep it

Accounts that are not verified within 30 days are deleted. We keep your personal data only for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we are required to keep certain records to meet our legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and to object to or restrict some uses. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In Nigeria you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

DettyLink is for adults aged 18 or over only. We delete accounts that we find belong to people under 18.

Changes

We will tell you in the app before we make material changes to this policy.
